STOP MOTION [10 seconds] |
Stop Motion Animation is ideal for beginners, irrespective of age, from Foundation Stage to 17 to adults. The technique involves many of the Digital Video Skills need to create any video.
Animations can be made with a small stage, and minimal resources. The key to success is to bolt the camera down solid. Additional lighting from a desk lamp may be needed.
A black, green or blue floor and background will enable advanced post production skill of Chroma-keying to take the animation into outer space, or any other location. Using Windows "Scanner and Camera Capture" Capture shot one, and then move the object. Now take shot two then move the object. And so on. Note for animation 7 frames per second acceptable, so a 30 second animation will need 280 shots, and a lot of patience's. We recommend beginners start with a 5 second animation, as it takes practise to become a really smooth animator. The acrobat on the right was made with PaintShopPro JASC Animation shop.
